Our maintenance tips
You have just acquired a unique creation, crafted from luxurious silk woven in Lyon and Caudry lace. These noble fabrics, with their airy texture and delicate drape, embody timeless refinement. Any irregularities in the silk are a testament to its artisanal character and authenticity.
At Maison Ohr , we believe that true luxury deserves special attention. To preserve the shine and natural softness of your piece, it's essential to give it proper care and rotate it in your wardrobe—silk, a living material, likes to rest between wears.
Recommended maintenance:
• Dry cleaning recommended for optimal preservation.
• Hand washing , if necessary, should be done very gently.
Hand wash:
Use cool water (maximum 25°C) and a gentle detergent without enzymes or bleaching agents. Soak the item briefly without rubbing, then rinse thoroughly. For intense shades, a spoonful of white vinegar in the final bath can revive the shine.
Spin:
Pat your garment dry with a clean, dry towel, without wringing it or leaving it damp.
Drying:
Lay flat to dry, away from sunlight and direct heat. Do not hang your garment when wet.
Ironing :
Iron on reverse side, on fabric that is still slightly damp, using a low iron (silk setting). Avoid steam and excessive pressure on the seams.
